Jackman Manor Walk for Alzheimer’s on May 31, 2024 at 1:30pm to 2:30pm
This May, IG Wealth Management will be hosting their annual Walk for Alzheimer’s at various locations throughout the province. Jackman Manor will be participating by hosting our own walk on May 31st at 1:30pm. We are inviting residents, staff, volunteers, families and friends to join us. Our walk will start at the Manor and the Recreation team will be showing us the route to the trail across the street and back. There will be refreshments and entertainment after the walk at 2:30pm.
The goal of the walk is to increase awareness around Alzheimer’s disease and raise funds that will go toward local programs and services that improve quality of life for people living with dementia. Pledge forms will be available onsite. Forget-me-not flowers with the names of those being honoured by sponsors will be displayed on our Walk for Alzheimer’s board. Donations will be accepted online and in-person (see TJ, Shannon, Rowena and Dana) now through to the day of the event.
